The food here is amazing!!! Great service too!
Everything tasted so good. Love it. Every time we come to Reno for Hot August Nights we will have to come back.
Thank you so much. -

Visited 8/30/19 - We love tacos, and we love trying new local restaurants, and the food at Cielito Lindo was pretty good. We went for Happy Hour $1 tacos and 2-for-1 HH margs, can't beat that! The selections of meats were pretty limited to the basics, but they were fresh and tasty and didn't skimp on the amount of meat, even for the HH price.
When we came back for a second visit, also HH, the dining room was pretty empty, there were maybe 2 others tables finishing their food. We ordered and got chips & bean dip pretty quickly, but things went downhill from there. We waited a while for the first round of tacos, had to ask for salsa, finally got waters, and were still waiting for the rest of our taco order when a large group came in and was seated.
The server seemed to divert her attention to them, and we waited some more for the rest of our order. Finally, someone else appeared from the kitchen area with our tacos, and we ate quickly and waited some more for the check. I suspect anyone else coming in after the large group would be out of luck for service.
Overall, pretty tasty tacos but clearly the service or staffing is hit or miss? It's not close to home, so even $1 tacos probably wouldn't be enough of a draw to make it a regular stop. -

Friendly service in this little establishment. Could hear the kitchen as our food was being prepared.
Our complimentary chips were a little cold and stale, a pop in the oven would've refreshed it. The accompanying salsa was almost a liquidy gravy, but good. No cilantro or tomato chunks.
My chicken crema was a crazy cheesy chicken Alfredo type dish. Decadent. Fresh long slivers of red and green bell peppers. It came with rice but wished there was some refried beans with it.
Friends were disappointed with chix mole in that it didn't seem like it was stewed in the sauce. Rather it was chicken with mole sauce over it. Personal preferences.
My other Spanish pal was "meh" about the street tacos. -

Always on the search for something new, we found this on Yelp and saw that it received great reviews so, we decided to check it out.
We arrived just before noon on a Saturday and it was not very busy. We were seated right away and brought menus with chips and salsa. The inside looks really clean and basic with the expected mexican theme decor.
We inquired about the salsa. It was very good, not chunky and pretty spicey. They have three basic varieties: what is served with the tortilla chips, which is medium, another red, which is hotter, and a green, which is the mild.
My wife orderd the breakfast burrito with ham and I ordered a wet chicken burrito wirh green sauce.
Our meals were delivered in a timely fashion and were very good.
We hope they can make it here. We have seen several places come and go at this location over the last several years. There are other businesses in the same strip mall that have been stakeholders of the local area for years. -

Hidden location but offers great food and has amazing service. I live close by and it always fulfills my crave for food of the Hispanic heritage
